The smoke box is constructed typical sensitivity smoke test chamber construction as specified in appendix B of UL 217 8 th edition. It consists of the following items: Outer Cabinet: constructed of exterior grade plywood according to standards dimension Inner compartment: constructed of plywood according to standards dimension Circulating fan: DC fan powered Keysight DC power supply Exhaust fan: AC fan Photocell: Model 594 RR as standard recommended Lamp: Type 4515 as standard recommended Data acquisition device: Computer with National instruments DAQ card Software: Zon-test Smoke box software. The smoke box can be used to perform initial sensitivity test, directionality test, velocity- sensitivity test and other stability test with auxiliary equipment. Note: The UL standard required Measuring Ionization Chamber (MIC) to be included to monitoring smoke particles size.
